Wilding Our Farm
Our farm is managed with a single aim, to leave the land better than we found it.
Everything is linked in Nature, an ecological web that we try to respect, planning our seasons in detail not just for our flock but also the farm’s wildlife. We create flower meadows for insects, leave areas to ‘rewild’ and stay out of nesting sites.
Our grazing cycles are designed to improve soil structure and increase organic matter, rotationally working through pastures, whilst minimising disturbance on the land.
Our honey is made by bees that forage on the wild flower meadows and woodland glades around the Herne flock’s pasture.
It has a delicious light floral flavour and we harvest just a small sustainable surplus each year, leaving the bees plenty for the winter.Shop now
